Come home to this family run hostel where you not only become part of the family but where personal attention is the order of the day. Paradise is an experience, not a destination and is where cleanliness and comfort meet budget. The grounds are spacious stretching over 4 properties, the hostel sleeps 65 people so it is never crowded – even when full. It has an amazing sunset balcony from where the Swartberg Mountains form an idyllic view. Internet access as well as satellite tv also available!!!

The hostel pub has a pool table and is situated away from the hostel (so there is no party noise in the hostel in the evenings. Our splash-pool works overtime during summer and makes the hostel very homely, spacious TV lounge, indoor and outdoor BBQ facilities, three fully equipped kitchens and very comfy rooms with WIDE beds.

Our double rooms are very private with Queen size beds and en-suite showers and toilets and the twin rooms have ¾ size beds with en-suite showers and toilets @ R80pp (R160 for the room per night). Double rooms without en-suite facilities cost R65pp. Singles from R110pn.

Our dormitories vary from sleeping 4 to 10 people – (some of our dorm rooms even have en-suite facilities!) and all our beds are fitted with full clean bedding and dorm rates start at R50. Our tenting sites are on lawns under shady trees and the campers have their own ablutions costing only R30pp.

We supply speciality meals and our daily Ostrich BBQ is very popular with an Ostrich fillet steak done South African Style on the fire, with ostrich sausage, jacket potatoes, crispy green salad and fresh bread rolls all at R35pp! Vegetarians enjoy a Paradise spinach and feta pie with Salad, potatoes and fresh rolls. For breakfast during July until April every year we supply ostrich egg DIY style free of charge. A full continental breakfast for the more comfortable traveler.

The hostel is situated walking distance from the local Restaurants, Movies, Museum, Supermarkets and Banks.

Backpackers Paradise is located on the main road to the world famous Cango Caves and within walking distance of all amenities, i.e. Post Office, Banks, Supermarkets, Restaurants and historical monuments.
All our rooms have en-suite facilities and we offer our guests widest beds with clean sheets, pillow cases and duvets & covers. Lots of safe parking available on the property.
