Now open your "Home from Home" in Durban

Situated in Durban's suburb of Berea, this beautiful Old Cape style home, has been restored to it's former glory, complete with its Oregan pine floors, to provide you a true home during your stay. It is set in a tropical garden with a fireplace / BBQ out back, providing lots of atmosphere, fun and room for laughter.

Bump in the Night, is perfectly located to service all your needs, with eveything from a close bus route, to the shopping centres, banks and Durban's entertainment. All being available within 5 minutes walk.

Your host, Jeff is ably assisted, by Gershwin the cat and Archie the alsatian (friendly security), all of whom are waiting to go out of their way, to ensure you enjoy your stay, in any way they can.
Their mission is to provide you the 5 requirements for any backpacker, cleanliness, privacy, comfort, security and most of all comfort.

Some of the services that you can expect during your stay:

• 24 hour availability
• Free bedding and blankets.
• Security lockers and a safe for your valuables
• Email, Fax and mail holding facilities, as well as a pay phone, just to ensure you do not have to feel cut off.
• A pool table, bar, BBQ and the chance to enjoy the regular out-back bonfires and many a good party
• A communal Hi-Fi, TV, Video's and M-Net
• There is an in-house store, and most importantly an INFO DESK that can help you plan your tours etc.
• Need we tell you that there is plenty of hot water for your showers ?

"How to get there easily"

From the airport. Catch the airport shuttle bus into town, it will stop on the corner of Aliwal and Smith Streets, then walk 2 blocks to the Pine Street Terminal. There you should catch a MYNAH bus almost to our doorstep. They will drop you in Botanic Gardens Road, from where you can walk to the hostel easily.

From the Station. Phone for a MOZZIE Cab, they will bring you to our doorstep for R15 (Negociated as standard for you already). Their phone number is 3881114.

From Anywhere else. You could also phone a Mozzie Cab, but if you ring and we have someone available, we will do our best to collect you. For a nomimal charge ?

Otherwise. Walk, hike, run, fly or swim but JUST GET HERE.

Now you are there you can choose, whether you want to camp in the garden (@R25.00 pppn) or you can stay in the dormitories (@R35.00 pppn) for the duration of your stay.
